Having a Care Coordinator is listed as a benefit of being a Concierge patient. How does this benefit our executives and staff?
The Care Coordinator manages the logistics of your executive and staff’s medical care, including staying in contact with pharmacies and specialists to expedite care delivery when those entities may be bogged down with demand or limitations. She is also available to work on medical requests and answer questions expeditiously, freeing them from the time and frustration that can come with managing their care.
They will have access to her direct phone number and email address to make this care as successful as possible.
Our executives are often short of time to see a physician. Do you make office calls to provide care or have someone who can also make their medical appointments?
Yes. We offer different tiers of membership, one of which includes four office calls/year. Additionally, we have a package that will also include appointment scheduling for your executives and staff. Please refer to the pricing tab for details.
Our executives and staff often experience long hold times when calling their physician’s office, often times with times multiple attempts to speak with someone at the office. How does the Corporate Concierge program circumvent this?
With a Care Coordinator at their fingertips, they will get a response back the same day, though often, the call will be answered when they phone in. They will also have access to text and email the Care Coordinator directly.
Will my concierge membership cover any costs of seeing specialists or getting lab/radiology completed?
The concierge membership fee covers only visits rendered by our office.
The general sentiment about seeing a Primary Care Physician is that there are upwards of a wait of a few weeks and the visit time is rushed. How does your Corporate Concierge program circumvent this?
We understand that getting an employee’s medical concerns addressed as quickly as possible is a win-win for everyone.
With a concierge model, we limit our panel size to 400. They can see the provider generally within 24 business hours. We allocate 30 minutes for returning patient appointments and 60 minutes for new concierge patients establishing care.
This commitment is to make sure that your executives and staff receive expedited, in-depth care.
What happens if our executives and staff need medical attention or have questions about their health after hours or on weekends?
We understand that health care needs are not confined to a 9 am5 pm Monday through Friday schedule.
For this, we have implemented the benefit of having access to Dr. Kermani's private cell and the Care Coordinator 24/7.
As a concierge patient, what happens if they have to go to the ER or be hospitalized?
Dr. Kermani stays in close contact with the hospitalist. Because he is intimately familiar with the patient’s medical history and has access to his/her chart, he and the hospitalist will work together to provide the best continuity of care.
After a hospital discharge, patients most often face the hurdle of getting the hospital records to their PCP- despite attempts from the provider’s office as well.
As a concierge practice, we are fully committed to obtaining all hospital records before the patient’s hospital/ER follow-up appointment with Dr. Kermani.
Will you bill their insurance company in addition to the annual fee for being a concierge patient?
We do not bill insurance companies for concierge patient visits. Their annual membership includes unlimited visits to the provider and access to the Care Coordinator. Besides the annual membership fee with our office, there are no other financial responsibilities with us.
Will they be able to use their insurance for laboratory, radiology, and specialist referrals?
Yes.
Will their concierge membership cover any costs of seeing specialists or getting lab/radiology completed?
The Corporate Concierge membership is to be used as an adjunct to any medical benefits the employee may receive from your company or carry privately. Our plan covers only the care provided by our office.
Will the staff ’s insurance plan pay for the concierge memberships?
Insurance companies don’t cover concierge program membership fees. However, in some instances, the program may be eligible for reimbursement through section 125 plans, FSA, and HAS.
Do you have special discounts for Corporate Concierge plans?
Yes.
Please see the pricing tab for details.
In addition to an annual plan, do you also offer monthly plans for Corporate Concierge membership
Yes. We believe that employees are best motivated to care for themselves when they have a team working with them and taking the burdens of the logistics of medical care off their shoulders.
What is the commitment for the Corporate Concierge plans?
The annual plans are a one-year commitment after which the plan becomes a month-month agreement.
The monthly plans are a one-year commitment with a one-year renewal at each anniversary.
What happens if we sign up employees for the month-to-month plan and they leave the company before one year?
If there are more than three months left on the plan, you can transfer the remaining months to another employee.
We already have health benefits for our employees; how else can a concierge membership benefit us?
In our past experiences, companies have used this as a means of attracting top talent in addition to all of the benefits that your company may provide. You can also use the concierge membership as part of a thank you, a raise, or retirement benefit.
